Join the Major League Hacking (MLH) team at RenderATL for Hack RenderATL - a hackathon dedicated to building technology that empowers local communities, solves real-world challenges, and creates positive change!
​Whether you’re a seasoned developer, designer, product manager, or total beginner looking to see what hackathons are all about, this space is for you. You can build solo, come with a team, or form a team on-site!
​This hackathon is designed to fit your schedule. You don't have to choose between attending RenderATL conference sessions and participating—hack asynchronously or use our dedicated workspace when it works for you!

Requirements

  • We require all teams to submit a 2 minute or less demo video where we expect you to show us what you built.
  • Your code must be available in some sort of public repository. 
  • Your code and video must remain public post event if you want to continue being eligible for prizes. If your repo and video are not public we will select new winners. 
  • Your demo video must state the name of the hackathon at the beginning of the video. 
    • Ex. "Hey I'm Sam and this is my demo for Hack RenderATL."
  • You must have completed all the registration steps on Devpost. 
  • Your video must be created the day of the hackathon. 
  • We don't allow you to submit your project to other hackathons.
  • You may not submit projects that include prior work.
  • Each team can have a maximum of 4 members. We strongly encourage working in teams, and but solo projects will also be eligible for prizes. 
  • You are allowed to submit only one project to this hackathon.
  • You must be attending RenderATL to be eligible for this hackathon.

Judging Criteria

  • Technology
    How technically impressive was the hack? Was the technical problem the team tackled difficult? Did it use a particularly clever technique or did it use many different components?
  • Design
    Did the team put thought into the user experience? How well designed is the interface?
  • Completion
    Does the hack work? Did the team achieve everything they wanted?
  • Learning
    Did the team stretch themselves? Did they try to learn something new?
